Giving Back: Paint it Forward

Over this weekend, Nate Berkus Associates were involved in a fundraiser where proceeds will go to a makeover for a Chicago area Elementary School cafeteria.  We love this.  After meeting the beautiful Lauren & Sasha, fellow TradHome designers (they run Nate’s design office in Chicago as he works in TV) we’re not surprised these two are involved in such great work to support their community.

The Nate Berkus team was in attendance at a Chicago Festival over the weekend and offered the following design consultation: Bring a photo of a room in your home and Nate’s team will help you select a paint color for $10. All the proceeds went towards their makeover for the school cafeteria in need. Brilliant! We’ll be following their fundraising process and amazing makeover donation to some lucky kids in Chicago!

TradHome: Giving Back

We are thrilled with our very first shelter mag feature which went live yesterday on TradHome!  While hard pressed to narrow down our absolute favorites from the issue (outside of our own feature pages!!), we simply had to highlight “Giving Back” on the back page.  This friend/entrepreneur duo (we can relate!)  have dedicated countless hours to give back to their community by donating both time and talent to decorate thirty rooms at the Good Shepard Center, a shelter for homeless women and children in LA.

WOW! We are truly inspired!  Read more about their incredible efforts on their blog, Good Shepard Charity Design Project. Also, happy to see the featured donation from one of our favorite interior and textile designers, Peter Dunham.
