Full Bloom by Flat Vernacular
Flat Vernacular – we’ve posted about them quite a bit (here and here), but here’s another one. We were so excited to see new installation photos yesterday of this incredible pattern – on walls AND ceiling.
Wouldn’t you want to dress in this closet each morning? How could you not feel elated to start the day?!!

Pantone 2013 Color of the Year, photo via Washington Post
While the Pantone color of the year has been the talk of the town - and yes, we’re loving you Emerald – we also think Oxblood red (seen heavily already in the fashion world) is worth keeping top of mind these days for interiors.
Here’s a great oxblood saturated room in the Kurbits Cottage at The Maidstone hotel in East Hampton, NY (see a great design write-up on The Maidstone here, from Hotel Chic Blog). We love how this rich color translates to a light, airy and whimsical Hamptons cottage, showing the true versatility of this hue.
This photo proof positive: oxblood red and turquoise are a winning combination.
