The fun announcement is that I (Anne) will be traveling to Scotland for a week thanks to our amazing friends at Traditional Home and Scottish Development International! In the same excited breath, I am very sad to share that Suysel will not be able to join, as she slowly recovers from a battle with a nasty nasty virus over the past two weeks (please send positive thoughts her way). Battling the extreme separation anxiety over the next week, I will be taking notes, lots of photos and probably returning home with a Scottish tartan throw or the like for my dear dear partner in crime – who will be missed tremendously.
I’ll be arriving in Glasgow on Monday morning and visiting the following cities, all over four days: Newmilns, Ayr, Loch Lomond, Perth, Forres, Elgin, Nairn, Edinburgh, and Peebles. The trip will be a comprehensive tour of Scottish textile mills and studios, visiting such names as Holland & Sherry and Timorous Beasties among many many others that I’ll be reporting back on next week!

Have the most wonderful time!!! My mother’s maiden name is Lawler, very Scottish, so one of these days I hope to travel there.
