Last night, we celebrated along with our friends at Lillian August for the launch of New York City Cottages & Gardens! In celebration, we designed a window (progress shots above!) along with windows by Amy Lau and the NYC&G Rising Stars, Curious Yellow. The launch party was a true success – with a huge turn-out and Prosecco flowing!
Most especially, we’d like to thank all of our colleagues, friends, and family who came to support our foray into window design. For those who weren’t able to make it last night (or won’t be in the neighborhood of 19th Street between 5th & 6th over the next month – yes – it will be up for the next month!) here are some quick snapshots of the full window…

Our inspiration? A Parisan themed toile printed fabric by Dominique Picquier “Paris gypse” sold in the US by Studio Four NYC (n.b. it’s based on a Medieval map).

With this fabric, a red solid and a ticking stripe, the Lillian August upholstery workroom transformed our vintage settee. (Did you know Lillian August has a full upholstery and woodworking workroom in Norwalk, CT open to the trade? – we were SO impressed!)

We hope you’ll swing by over the next month – to see ALL the windows (Amy Lau and Curious Yellow both knocked it out of the park!) and check out the goodies inside the huge two floor Lillian August home store – that span a full city block between 19th & 20th streets!

Absolutely gorgeous! Completely and totally! Striking…….Well done ladies!
How FABULOUS!!! Love the Studio 4 fabric and of course the settee :-) So sorry to miss this – I’m sure it was amazing but happy I’ll at least be able to see your gorgeous window soon in person! And the girls above are right – you two look beautiful!!
Fabulous! What a great event and your burst of color on the settee is so full of joy as are you both!
As you know, I love the window ladies, but… Anne’s yellow heels are my favorite!
Great to see you two last night.
