Table Mix-Up, Part 1
3 CommentsTuesday • November 22, 2011 • by tiltonfenwick
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’re focusing today on the art of tablescaping and within that genre, our love for mixing patterns. Scot Meacham Wood did good in the spread above from Rue Magazine, Issue Two – wood on tartan on tartan on floral on silver. Nice.
Some ideas for mixin’ up patterns at the dinner table this season… below a grouping for a casual lunch, maybe for some leftover Turkey sandwiches this Friday? A more formal mix-up comin’ tomorrow!

SO many of my favorites here!! You may have noticed on the blog the other day that I am LOVING tartan this year (ok – so it’s pretty much every year) so Scot’s tabletop hit the spot!! I am rather obsessed with Ross Sveback’s Faux Bois plates – I’ve had the site bookmarked for months – thinking I might have to bite the bullet soon. And that Anthropologie plate would go with so much in my pantry!!
Love Scot’s tablescape, but the casual look of the faux bois dinner plates and wonderful wooden bowl will be perfect for those leftovers!!
I am very honored that you would include my faux bois tabletop with your suggested tabletop offerings – thank you so much!
